Effect of Varying Percentage Increase in Reinforcement on Some Mechanical Properties of Die Cast Aluminum Alloy Composites

The die-casting process is a metal casting processes that utilize molds or permanent dies. In this work, the effect of varying percentage increase in reinforcement on some mechanical properties aluminum alloy composites was obtained by die cast process. applied to produce various casts using as matrix and sawdust at 5%, 10% 15% weight. Aluminum Scrap sourced sent for elemental characterization Engineering Materials Development Institute (EMDI), Akure Nigeria. Tensile hardness test were tests carried out different samples cast. result showed that, composition used Al-8.1%Mg-0.4%Fe-0.2%Zn. Results weight reinforcement, average tensile strength composite had highest value while lowest recorded reinforcement. At 5% compared with works Ranjit et al. (2020) Belete (2013) it concluded results from work are adequate significant use.
